A low-cost way to get regular, expert, and objective information on US-Cuba relations! An individual member gets topical and apolitical information, through a regular newsletter drawn from exceptional sources and special events held in the Washington area and Miami. Outstanding speakers from government, academia, and various Cuba-watch organizations address members and guests several times a year at lunches held in Florida and Washington, DC.
AmCham Cuba's mission is to help businessmen plan for investment when appropriate in Cuba, and to cope with unpredictable U.S.-Cuban events. Until it can open a Havana office, AmCham Cuba serves as heir to the American chamber in pre-Castro Cuba. It complements U.S.-Cuba business councils which support U.S. firms who hope to do business with, and not necessarily in, Cuba. Am-Cham Cuba meetings promote contacts among persons interested in someday doing business there. As a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, AmCham Cuba offers access to the mainstream of U.S. business views on Cuba's commercial future. Modest dues allow AmCham Cuba to focus on long-term goals rather than day-to-day changes in U.S.-Cuban relations.
In addition to its regular mailings to all members, however, corporate members get experts' studies on investments in Cuba, U.S. and Cuban laws, and programs and meetings of other Cuba-watch groups reflecting various points of view. An intermediate membership group, Friends of AmCham Cuba, also receives special reports and opportunities to meet with the speakers. Members reflect diverse views on U.S.-Cuba relations.
Please mail the application form below with your check. AmCham Cuba has IRS approval as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(6), with Employer Identification Number (EIN) 52-1918680.
